Infant Mental Health Workshop
Join us for an engaging workshop on trauma-responsive care, open to infant and early childhood professionals, families, and community members. Together, we will learn about how early traumas, as well as disruptions in caregiving relationships, affect the developing brain. We will explore how the developmental timing of trauma matters, and how to use this understanding to best support infants, young children, and their families. Through a neurodevelopmental lens, we will gain insight into the potential origins and meanings of common behaviors seen in early childhood, from feeding and sleep challenges to tantrums and hitting. With this understanding in mind, we will highlight available community resources, and discuss when and where to refer families for additional support.
