Join Los Alamos County Council candidate James Wernicke for a free screening of 1984, George Orwell’s cautionary tale about totalitarianism, propaganda, surveillance, and the fight for individual freedom. Wernicke will discuss Orwell’s political values, the parallels between the novel and today’s tech-driven world, and how embracing libertarian principles can help protect our individualism. The movie is rated R for nudity and violence. Light refreshments will be provided.
